Designing the bow Edit
First select the length of the longest laminate. The goal is to make the laminate as short as possible without overstressing it. If you're looking for optimum performance, always select the draw length based on the laminate dimensions, not vise versa. If you do the latter, you will either over- or understress the bow.
Of course, you can increase the draw length by gluing two laminates together and doubling their length. This doubles the draw length while keeping stress of the materials the same at full draw. You can of course do the same in reverse, by grinding the laminates thinner.
